People’s Capacitation

As Jesuits, we are dedicated to standing with the vulnerable, excluded, and marginalized. Our mission of reconciliation and justice focuses on supporting Dalits, Dalit Christians, Tribals, refugees, migrants, and women from communities that frequently suffer from systemic oppression, untouchability, discrimination, exclusion, inequality, political deprivation, and, at times, violence in various aspects of their lives.

Our mission is to foster justice and dignity within marginalized communities through the establishment of our social action centres. These centres serve as vital hubs for empowerment, offering a wide array of resources and campaigns designed to illuminate the issues facing these groups. Furthermore, we actively engage in advocacy initiatives that aim to influence policy and bring about systemic change.

To cultivate community leadership, we provide capacitation and training programs that equip individuals with the skills necessary to take on leadership roles within their communities. Our legal guidance is particularly important, as it extends crucial support through various interventions, ensuring that individuals have access to the legal assistance they need to navigate challenges effectively.

In addition, we focus on building inclusive People’s forums that encourage open dialogue and collaboration among community members. We prioritize the empowerment of diverse groups such as students, youth, men, and women, through targeted programs that develop their capacity to advocate for their rights and maintain their dignity effectively. By equipping them with knowledge, skills, and the confidence to speak out, we aim to create a more just society where everyone can thrive.
