Entrepreneurship Journey
I’m Mary, a resident of Su Paapambaadi village. My life took a transformative turn when I discovered the AHAL Skill Development Centre. After completing my eighth grade, I got married and embraced my role as a dedicated mother to my daughter. When AHAL introduced a tailoring training program in my village, I had an opportunity for skill acquisition and enrolled with great enthusiasm. I was particularly interested in learning blouse stitching, creating tops, tailoring pants, and making saree petticoats. Joining the tailoring program marked a significant turning point in my life. The skills I acquired enabled me to contribute to my family’s income and positively impact our overall well-being. The training I received from AHAL Skill Development Centre provided me with financial independence, helping me break free from the limitations of traditional household chores. The program not only equipped me with technical expertise but also instilled a sense of self-reliance and independence within me. Through this journey of skill development, I not only enhanced my capabilities but also became a role model within my community, showcasing the transformative potential of accessible skill training. My experience at AHAL Skill Development Centre serves as a testament to the impact that learning new skills can have on individuals and communities. My commitment to learning and the opportunities provided by the tailoring program have elevated my personal and financial status, while also contributing to reshaping the dynamics of my family.
