Factory to Schools
Sheeba, a student from Kasavanallur in the Tiruvallur District, faced the challenges that come with being a school dropout. However, her situation changed when she joined the Evening Study Center, supported by the Jesuit Migrant Service. This centre played a crucial role in helping her re-engage with education and achieve academic success. At the Evening Study Center, Sheeba found a supportive learning environment that reignited her passion for education. She regained her confidence and motivation to pursue her studies. One significant barrier Sheeba encountered as a school dropout was a lack of access to essential educational resources. Recognizing this, Jesuit Migrant Service provided her with notebooks and other necessary materials, helping to eliminate financial constraints and ensuring she had the tools required for her academic progress. These efforts greatly improved Sheeba’s overall well-being and removed potential obstacles in her educational journey. The combined support of the Evening Study Center and the provision of learning materials transformed her life. She successfully reintegrated into school, regained her academic momentum, and opened up opportunities for personal growth and future success.
